Shark Cage Diving Durban

Cage Diving now in a steel cage with the Oceanic Black Tips at the Aliwal Shoal near Durban. All levels of experience welcome.

A typical shark cage dive involves getting into a wetsuit, donning a mask and snorkel and climbing into a floating cage with between 5 and 30 sharks gliding gracefully past. Sardines are used to keep the sharks interested in the boat and cage otherwise they will quickly lose interest in the divers. There has never been a recorded attack on a human by this species of shark and after a while in the water, you will feel very comfortable with them.
