I will personally take you down the stunning Sand Dunes in the Walker Bay Nature Reserve from 185 meters above sea level down to the cliffs of Die Plaat Beach. This is a truly stunning and unique experience for all levels of rider from Professional riders to children from 8 years old.

Fatbike Tours – De Kelders (Gansbaai)
De Kelders the only places in South Africa where you can enjoy the unique experience of riding Fatbikes down a vast Sand Dune landscape. Access is at the top of Walker Bay Nature reserve and through a stunning path through the Fynbos to the top of a vast stunning series of Sand Dunes. I personally take my clients down the Sand Dunes and will teach you how to ride down the Dunes and learn new skills such as Skiing on the sand down the Dunes like slalom skiers. This is an amazing location with a breathtaking backdrop of the Walker Bay Whale Sanctuary and stunning coastline views from Cape Point to Danger Point. The trip is fun, informative with lots of laughs and amazing for photography. Whether you are an expert rider or novice there are options all of the way down the Dunes with easy rides around the Dunes instead of tacking the Dunes head on straight down.The ride is approximately 6km long and mostly downhill and we end up at the stunning Die Plaat beach. In Whale Season (June-December) there is also an excellent opportunity to view the Whales in the bay as we ride and at the end of the tour.
All trips include free Photos and Videos taken by myself with a GoPro and you will receive a link on Dropbox the following day to enjoy the experience again 🙂

Morning Trip
10:00 – Meet at the Roundhouse Guesthouse or if staying locally we can collect you if you do not have a car
10:15 – Drive up to the top of the reserve
11:45 – Reach the bottom of the Dunes where the vehicle will be waiting at the stunning Die Plaat Beach
12:00 – Drive back to The Roundhouse
Sunset Trip
16:00 – Meet at the Roundhouse Guesthouse or if staying locally we can collect you if you do not have a car
16:15 – Drive up to the top of the reserve
17:45 – Reach the bottom of the Dunes where the vehicle will be waiting at the stunning Die Plaat Beach
18:00 – Drive back to The Roundhouse
